BEST TIPSY MERMAID RUM PUNCH

As scrumptious as it is excellent, this loaded mermaid rum punch is brimming with astounding tropical flavors, various kinds of rum, and gets it's wonderful ombre shading from blue curaco. This is one beverage you totally need to attempt, all year!

This beverage is such a delightful shading from the blend of pineapple squeeze and Blue Curacao, which whirl together to be a wonderful green shading. I like to add my Blue Curacao to the serving glass, at that point top with the blended beverage, that way they end up a staggering ombre tint!

Some may think of it as a late spring just beverage, however I think we as a whole need an essence of the tropics amid every one of the seasons! Summer might be about part of the way through, yet that doesn't mean we need to surrender our summery beverages in a few months right?

I know how you feel… while I appreciate pineapple juice, some of the time it tends to be excessive right? Never dread, this mermaid rum punch can be made with lemonade! In some cases I like to include a touch of club soft drink or lemon lime soft drink to finish off the glasses, which gives an excellent bubbly look.

I CAN NEVER GET MY SUGAR RIM TO STAY PUT!

They can be annoying right? Typically, glasses are rimmed with a citrus juice, at that point sugar/salt… however I find that rimming the glasses with a progressively thick fluid, similar to the light corn syrup, at that point plunging in the sugar/salt encourages it stay put somewhat better. INGREDIENTS
  • 8 oz spiced rum (like Captain Morgan)
  • 4 oz coconut rum
  • 24 oz pineapple juice
  • 2 oz fresh lime juice

  • sugars, for garnish
  • ice cubes



INSTRUCTIONS
  1. To a large pitcher, add spiced rum, coconut rum, pineapple juice and lime juice. Stir to combine.
  2. To a small plate, add a drizzle of light corn syrup. To a second small plate, add various sugars (I did a combination of white, green and blue). Dip rims of glasses in corn syrup, then in the sugars to coat the rim.
